"Now, anyone against the agreement?" Nobody moved. "Then that's decided," said Hornet. "Signora Spavento, you've got yourself a deal." Page 182

This passage describes how Hornet, Prosper, Bo, Riccio, and Mosca make a deal with this lady, Signora Spavento. The group is planning on sneaking up on this old man, Conte. Prosper, Mosca, and Riccio find out the Conte is hiding something. They want to find out what the Conte is hiding.

This passage is significant because Prosper, Bo, Hornet, Mosca, Riccio and Scipio make a deal with an adult, Signora Spavento. They have never trusted an adult before, but now they trust the Signora because she took care of them and understood how they felt. Nice passage Myria!

  • Like alnaw said they had never trusted an adult before. The story changed from then on because it was more challenging for all of those kids to survive without getting caught. Great passage Myria!!

This passage is important because it is the beginning of the children's friendly relationship with Signora Spavento.

This passage is important because Hornet, Mosca, Prosper, Bo, Riccio, and Scipio make a deal and trust an adult, Signora Spavento, for the first time. Signora Spavento is willing to give the children the lion's wing, if in return she can come along and sneak up on the Conte to see the magical merry go round just once. Nice passage Alana!

Like Alana said, they have never trusted an adult before. Although they did trust Victor in the end. In my opinion Signora acted a little like a kid, I think Hornet, Mosca, Prosper, Bo, Riccio, and Scipio saw that in her, Thats why I think they trusted her.

  • This is important comment because this is where they follow the Conte to his island where he lives. Even though they get caught they find out why no one ever comes back from the Isola Segreta island. It is also important because it shows that Prosper,Bo,Riccio,Mosca and Scipio begin to trust Ida.

This is an important quote because Signora trusted a bunch of kids with one of her most prized possessions. She doesn't think they'll just make off with the money. It makes you think a that she is a little weird.

This is extremely important because if the kids had not made this deal with Signora Spavento, the kids would not have been able to go to the Isola Segreta and see the merry-go-round. It shows you that Signora Spavento is a kindred soul and someone worth trusting. I was actually surprised when they got caught but didn't get turned in to the police. Good passage Myria!
