My Brother Sam is Dead James Licoln Collier & Cristopher Collier

The story takes place in one of the American colonies. The book is about two brothers Tim and Sam, Sam is the older brother who Tim looks up to. When Sam returns home from college he decides to join the rebel forces against the British army and fight for an independent nation. Sam has to make a decision between his brother’s choice and his father’s loyalty to the British army. After Sam moves away from home Tim becomes the man of the house especially after his father passes away on a prison ship after being taken by the army. Sam is shot at the end of the book since he gets falsely accused of stealing cows. This wasn’t my favorite book because it was a sad book with somewhat of a good ending (my favorite was chains and forge the series), although It was a good book and I learned a lot from it.
