What am I supposed to discuss about my mandatory book?

Am I just supposed to talk about my favorite part or talk about what other people say or answer some questions about it?

    Hi Blake,

For summer reading, students were to select a required reading title from the Summer Reading List. You can find it at http://literacylibrarian.com

Once you've read the required reading book, you are to post a memorable passage from the book. To do this, click on the title of the book in the right hand column. It has been arranged according by grade level.

After you've clicked the link for the book, you need to Start a New Discussion. Click the button in the upper right hand column that states the same and begin your post.

In the Discussion title box: give the page number and a short summary of your passage
In the box directly beneath, be sure you include:

    a) the full passage and page number(s)
    b) a sentence or two on on why you chose the passage
    c) be sure to check that another classmate has not already posted the same passage (no duplicates please)
    d) sign your post with your first name and last initial

Then, reply to posts from two other students and give them some feedback or commentary. By the way, once you click on the required reading book you chose to read, this is all mentioned at the very top in an announcement titled Directions and Rules :)

    I hope this helps.

    Best,
    Ms. Lin
